SSC offers Scholarships for both Volunteering and for Skating Excellence.

How to apply for a Scholarship (2024-2025):
- Every SSC Aspire and full member family is required to volunteer for 5 hours each membership year. If the 5 hours are not met, then the family will have a bill added to their membership account for $20 per each unfinished hour (maximum fee $100)

- After the required hours are met, each SSC Family is eligible for the following volunteer scholarships sub categories.
- 15 hours Volunteered – $45 towards Skating Expenses**.
- 20 hours Volunteered- $100 Scholarship towards Skating Expenses**.
- 25 hours Volunteered - $150 Scholarship towards Skating Expenses**.
- 30 hours Volunteered - $200 Scholarship towards Skating Expenses**.
- 35 Hours Volunteered - $250 Scholarship towards Skating Expenses**.
- 40 Hours Volunteered - $300 Scholarship towards Skating Expenses**.
- 45 Hours Volunteered - $350 Scholarship towards Skating Expenses**.
- 50 Hours Volunteered - $400 Scholarship towards Skating Expenses**.
- 75 Hours Volunteered - $600 Scholarship towards Skating Expenses**
- 100 Hours Volunteered - $800 Scholarship toward Skating Expenses**
- 150 Hours Volunteered - $1,200 Scholarship toward Skating Expenses**
How to record your volunteer hours:
- Login to your membership account at http://comp.entryeeze.com/Membership/Welcome.aspx?cid=19
- Click on “Volunteer” and Select “My Volunteer Hours”
- Select member name you wish to record volunteer hour(s).
- Fill out the details of your volunteer hour(s) in Second Box.
- Hours will be approved by Board of Directors.
- If Board has a question for you, we will contact you.
SSC Scholarship for Excellence (2024-2025):
Rules apply to all Scholarship for Excellence sub categories:
- Submit the receipt to receive your Scholarship. Skaters may choose to receive a Excellence Scholarship and a Volunteer Scholarship from the season. This policy will be evaluated by the Board each year, depending on how many funds are available.
- Submit your receipt to receive your Scholarship along with Scholarship Application Form.
- Skaters who wear logos or gear from other Skating Clubs (not including gear from USFSA) will not be eligible for this scholarship. Jackets should have "Seattle Skating Club" embroidered on them.
Singles Sectionals Scholarship:
- SSC Skaters who qualify for Pacific Coast Sectionals are eligible for a Scholarship to have their entry fee reimbursed.
- Skaters who receive a bye to US Nationals, shall receive $300 towards their training (submit receipts).
Pairs and Ice Dance Finals Scholarship:
- SSC Pairs and Dance Teams who qualify for the US Pairs Final or US Dance Final are eligible for a Scholarship to have their Pacific Coast Sectional entry fee reimbursed.
- Skaters who receive a bye to US Nationals, shall receive $300 towards their training (submit receipts).
- If only one partner is an SSC Member, the scholarship will be for half of the registration fee.
NSDS Scholarship:
- SSC Skaters who qualify for National Solo Dance Finals are eligible for a Scholarship to have their entry fee for National Solo Dance Finals to be reimbursed.
National Showcase Scholarship:
- SSC Skaters who qualify for National Showcase are eligible for a Scholarship to have their entry fee for National Showcase to be reimbursed.
National Synchronized Skating Championship:
- SSC Skaters who qualify for National Synchronized Skating Championship are eligible for a $250 Scholarship.
Adult National Scholarship:
- SSC Skaters who qualify for Adult National Championship are eligible for a Scholarship to have their entry fee for Adult Nationals to be reimbursed.
National EXCEL Finale Scholarship:
- SSC Skaters who qualify for National EXCEL Finale are eligible for a Scholarship to have their entry fee for National EXCEL Finale to be reimbursed.
SSC Training Ice Scholarship (2024-2025):
- To promote SSC upper-level skaters one 100-session ice punch card from OlympicView Arena for each NQS skater Juvenile-Senior level will be reimbursed.
- The skater must have been registered for NQS during the 2024-2025 season, and competed at the required number of NQS competition(s).
- Skaters will submit their receipt for one 100-session punch card from OVA purchased between July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025.
- Skater must be coached by a SSC staff coach.
- Skater must renew their full home club membership with SSC before July 31, 2025.
How to apply for a Scholarship (2024-2025):
- Starting in June 1, 2025 when membership is open for renewal, renew your membership with SSC first.
- Submit a Scholarship Application Form between July 1st – July 15th 2025. Slide envelope, marked "Scholarship Application", containing form with receipt(s) under SSC Office door.
- Attach documentation (Explained above for each category).
- Allow 2+ weeks for check distribution (Checks will be cut after July 15th).
- Families can only apply for total of max 2 category of scholarships per family, per membership year.
